I move:—
Go ndeontar suím ná raghaidh thar £20,000 chun íoctha an Mhuirir thiocfidh chun bheith iníoctha i na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1928, chun Deontais i gCabhair chun soláthar do dhéanamh do bhaintrigh agus do leanbhaí Chaoimhghin Uí Uigín, Leas-Uachtarán na hArd-Chomhairle agus Aire Dlí agus Cirt.
That a sum not exceeding £20,000 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1928, for a Grant-in-Aid to provide for the widow and children of Kevin Christopher O'Higgins, late Vice-President of the Executive Council and Minister for Justice.
As is shown on the face of the Estimate, this sum was already voted on the 28th July last, and, ordinarily, it would not have come before the Dáil again until it appeared in the schedules to the Central Fund and Appropriation Act; but we are legally advised that it cannot, owing to the Dissolution having intervened, be put in the schedules of the forthcoming Central Fund Bill or Appropriation Bill without being again voted by the Dáil. The sum voted on the 28th July has been duly paid out in the ordinary way under Section 14 of the Exchequer and Audit Act as adapted. I presume I need say nothing further.
