Vol. 22 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - O'BRIEN'S FARM (WICKLOW).

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether it is proposed to acquire the land known as O'Brien's Farm, Winetavern, Stratford-on-Slaney, on the Downes Estate, for the relief of congestion in the district; and, if so, whether negotiations for purchase have yet been entered into.

The lands referred to comprise the holding held by the tenant, the guardian of the O'Brien minors, comprising 180a. 1r. 38p., situate in the townland of Winetavern, on the estate of E.H. Davies, which has been dealt with by the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923.

The holding referred to has been retained by the Land Commission, who are instituting proceedings for its resumption.
