Vol. 22 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF TUBBERCURRY BOGS.

asked the Minister for Fisheries when the Land Commission intend to divide the bog on the Morrow Estate, Tullycusheen Beg, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, among the tenants on that estate, and if it is their intention to have a road constructed for the use of tenants to this bog.

The bog referred to comprises an area of 84a. 2r. 6p. in the townland of Tullycusheen Beg, and was returned in the schedules lodged by the owner under the Land Act, 1923, as untenanted lands in the owner's hands, upon which a number of the tenants exercise free turbary rights as appurtenant to their holdings. The remainder of the bog is stated to be let annually to the remaining tenants and others.

The estate is about to be inspected, and the Commissioners will then consider what action they will take as regards the bog and proposed road.
