asked the Minister for Fisheries if he is aware that the lands held in the name of Thomas Clossick (deceased) by Mary Clossick, of Hagfield, Charlestown, County Mayo, is about to be sold by the occupier; and whether he will take steps with a view to the acquisition of these lands by the Land Commission for distribution among the uneconomic holders and landless men of the district.

The lands referred to appear to comprise the holding of 14a. 2r. 31p. situate in the townland of Hagfield, County Mayo, which was vested in the tenant the late Thomas Clossick under the Land Purchase Acts and in which there is in consequence an annuity payable. The Land Commission do not propose to take any action with a view to their acquisition.
