asked the Minister for Fisheries whether the Land Commission, in dealing with the estate of John A. Lewis, Co. Galway (Record No. S. 1990), propose to make any improvement or enlargement in connection with the congested holdings on this estate, apart from the holdings mentioned in the retained list issued by the Land Commission, dated February 7th, 1928.

Negotiations are on foot at present to migrate the owner from his demesne. The lands thus available, together with other untenanted lands on the estate, will, when vested in the Land Commission, be utilised for the improvement of and enlargement of the small holdings on the estate.
