Vol. 22 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - A CO. GALWAY ROAD.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether work had ceased on the Benmore-Brackloon Road, Co. Galway; whether the relief grant has been availed of; and whether he will consider the transfer of the grant for the completion of the road leading to Kilescragh Bog, on the Raford Estate, part of which was done in 1923.

The road referred to in the first part of the question would appear to be the Ban More-Ban Beg Road, on which work was carried out under the Relief Grant. The work has now been completed.

Work was started on the Killescragh-Brackloon Road in January last, but had to be discontinued owing to the action of certain tenants in threatening to take proceedings against the Land Commission if they continued with the work.
