Vol. 23 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. Oral Answers. - COURT FACILITIES IN LONGFORD.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that great hardships are endured by litigants in the Ballinalee and Ballinamuck districts in the County Longford, owing to the Courthouses in these towns not being availed of for the holding of District Courts; whether he can state why they are not now being used; and when it is intended that they will be used for the holding of District Court sittings.

I am not aware that litigants in Ballinalee and Ballinamuck districts suffer any hardship by having to go to Granard and Drumlish respectively, and I cannot admit that there is any real case for establishing sittings of the District Court at either Ballinalee or Ballinamuck.
