Dáil Éireann díospóireacht -

Vol. 24 No. 9

PUBLIC BUSINESS.

I desire to say that I propose, on the adjournment to-day, to move that the Dáil meet on Tuesday next at 3 o'clock.

Before we enter on the business of the day I wish to state that I promised some time ago to make a statement with reference to the Dáil Loan and its repayment, and give all necessary information to Deputies. In order that Deputies may have some little opportunity of discussing my statement and asking questions in regard to it, I would suggest that the matter be taken up at 1 o'clock to-day if Deputies are agreeable.

Do I understand that the statement is in reference to the Dáil Internal Loan, 1927?

The motion for the adjournment will be taken at 1 o'clock in order to enable the Minister to make his statement in regard to the Dáil Internal Loan.

I wanted to raise a question on the adjournment in connection with a matter arising out of Article 10 of the Treaty, and in reference to which an announcement was made in the British House of Lords yesterday. I do not know if the Minister for Finance could give us any information on the matter.

I have nothing to say in addition to the statement which has been circulated with copies of the despatches to Deputies this morning.
