asked the Minister for Justice whether he can state the number of bus drivers who were prosecuted (1) for exceeding the speed limit; (2) for overcrowding, during the six months ended 30th June, 1928; the number of cases in which fines were imposed; the total amount received in fines; and whether he can give the same information for the corresponding period in 1927.

The following are the details of prosecutions of drivers of omnibuses during the six months ended 30th June, 1927, and 30th June, 1928. There are, however, a number of cases in respect of the latter half-year awaiting trial in the District Courts:—
