Vol. 28 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Shannon Development Board.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether any compensation has been offered to James Wall, Clonlara,. Co. Clare, whose house was taken over by the Shannon Development Board, in connection with the hydroelectric works on the Shannon; and, if not, whether it is proposed to compensate this man for the loss of his house.

James Wall was in occupation of a labourer's cottage, the property of the Clare County Board of Health. The only interest in the cottage on which a claim to compensation could be founded is that of the Board of Health: James Wall had no interest in it which would entitle him to compensation.
