asked the Minister for Finance if he is yet in a position to say when the subscribers to the Dáil Eireann Loan from the Ballyhaunis district will be repaid.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his question of the 20th February last, regarding subscriptions to the Loan in the Ballyhaunis and other districts. As indicated in that reply the difficulty regarding most of the outstanding cases in the Ballyhaunis district arises from the fact that particulars were not furnished to the Dáil Department of Finance at the time the Loan was raised.
My Department is in communication with the persons who were responsible for the transmission of subscriptions to the Dáil Department of Finance with a view to obtaining the necessary particulars from them. Pending the receipt of these particulars I am not in a position to state when repayment of the subscriptions in this area will be completed.
