asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if his attention has been drawn to the newspaper report of a case decided by the Circuit Court Judge at Lifford, Co. Donegal, where the Land Commission sued Mr. Charles B. M'Candless, Laurel Bank, Burnfoot, Co. Donegal, a tenant on the Egerton Estate, for £60 payment in lieu of rent till 1st May, 1930; if he is aware that the Judge recommended the Land Commission Solicitor to bring to the notice of his clients the grievance from which the tenant is suffering, viz., the neglect of the Land Commission to keep clear and free from flooding the two main arterial rivers, the Skeog and another smaller unnamed river, also the sluices and floodgates in the embankment undertaken by the landlord, the Hon. T.H. Brassey, when the tenant's rent was fixed under the Land Law (Ireland) Act, 1896, whereby his land is permanently flooded and rendered useless and derelict; and what are the steps proposed by the Land Commission on the judge's suggestion to afford relief to the tenant.
