I move for leave to introduce a "Bill entitled an Act to make provision for the fixing of the standard purchase annuity and the payment in lieu of rent under the Land Purchase Acts and the Land Acts, 1923 to 1931, in cases where the landlord and tenant have agreed to a voluntary or temporary abatement of the rent payable in respect of a holding, and for that and other purposes to amend those Acts."
Land Acts (Amendment) Bill, 1931—First Stage.
Objection taken.
Could we not have the question of the introduction of the Bill debated now?
We could, if the Government would give time for it.
We are not prepared to give time for it now.
