Vol. 39 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Right-of-Way on Sligo Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the Land Commission have received any representations regarding the great inconvenience and hardship caused to Mr. Thomas Kilcawley, of Cairns, in the parish of Castleconnor, a tenant on the Harlech Estate, County Sligo, by the refusal of Mr. Michael J. Hanley, his neighbour, to allow Mr. Kilcawley to use a former right-of-way for the purpose of getting to a particular portion of his holding; whether the Land Commission Inspector for the area has recommended that an order under Section 43 of the Act of 1923, should be served on Mr. Hanley; and, if so, when do the Land Commission propose to put that recommendation into effect.

The Land Commission are aware of the dispute over the right-of-way referred to by the Deputy, and the matter of a settlement and definition of a right-of-way is being considered in relation to the provisions of Section 39 of the Land Act, 1931.
