The Free State's share of the balance at 31st March, 1922, of the Road Fund of the late United Kingdom has not yet been finally determined. It is not possible to predict when the arbitration proceedings will be concluded. The sum of £200,000 has been received up to date on account of the Free State's share of the balance of the Fund and it is hoped that the arbitration proceedings will be concluded in sufficient time to enable the balance still remaining due to be paid over in the current financial year.
