Vol. 40 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Use of National School for Political Meetings.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that the National School of Kilglass, Co. Sligo, has been used as a meeting place for the Kilglass Branch of Cumann na nGaedheal for the past five or six years; whether he approves of the school being used for this purpose, and, if so, whether other political organisations will be afforded similar facilities.

I am not aware that Kilglass National School has been used as a meeting place for the Kilglass Branch of Cumann na nGaedheal. My Department is in communication with the manager of the school in the matter.

It is not proposed to relax the regulations which deal with the holding of political meetings in National Schools.
