I am aware that unemployment resulted from the closing down several years ago of the Bandon Distillery, and my Department has given consideration to the possibility of the distillery premises being adapted to meet the requirements of some other industry. So far, no opportunity has presented itself to the Department of interesting anyone in the acquisition of the premises for industrial purposes, but any occasion for doing so will certainly be utilised.
