Vol. 41 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Travelling Facilities—Dursey Island.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware of the urgent need for the provision of adequate facilities to enable the people of Dursey Island to reach the mainland with safety to life and property; that the proposal has been under consideration for a very long time by the Department and if he can now state when approval will be given to the project and the amount of the contribution from State funds towards the work.

Arrangements have been made for building a landing place on the mainland for the inhabitants of Dursey Island, and the work will be constructed by the Commissioners of Public Works during this summer. The State contribution is £400.
