The number of sanctions issued under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Act for grants and loans in March, 1932, was 9, and for April, 1932, the number was 13. The number of sanctions issued in the corresponding months of 1931 was 175 and 309, respectively.

Will the Minister say what is the reason of the big falling off in sanctions this year?
The decrease is mainly due to the fact that the staffs were chiefly engaged during that period in the inspection of buildings that had already been sanctioned and in making payments in connection with same.
