Vol. 45 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Granting of Import Licences.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in the cases where applications for licences to import without payment of the duty on grass wheelrakes and swathe turners under Section 9 of the Finance (Customs Duties) (No. 2) Act, 1932, were refused, any such licences were granted to other traders or firms in the same town, and, if so, if he will state the name of such trader or firm and why such discrimination was made.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The remaining portions do not, therefore, arise.

In drafting the question I omitted the word "mowers" after the word "grass." If I repeated the question to-morrow would the Minister consider it?

The answer would still be the same, I think.
