asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what amount of money has been allocated for relief works in the rural areas of each county by the different Departments since March last, and if he will further state on what basis each allocation has been made.

I shall have a return prepared, and a copy sent to the Deputy, showing, according to counties, the amounts allocated by each Department during the current financial year from the Relief Funds up to the 1st instant. The basis of allocation has been primarily the number of registered unemployed in each county.
