Vol. 50 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drogheda Shooting Outrage.

asked the Minister for Justice if the inquiries which in September last were stated to be still proceeding into the shooting outrage at or near the home of Superintendent Casserly at Drogheda on July 16th have now been completed; if these inquiries have produced any results; and if it is expected that any person or persons will be apprehended and tried in consequence.

I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to a similar question put by the Deputy on 27th September last.

The Minister realises that that reply stated that inquiries were still going on?

I am to take it then that inquiries are still going on?

I have nothing to add to that answer.

That is to say inquiries are still going on?

What is the Deputy trying to insinuate? Inquiries are proceeding by the officer whose house was fired at.

I am agreeing that that is the case. I do not see any necessity for arguing it.

Why do you ask the question then?
