Vol. 50 No. 3

In Committee on Finance. - Vote No. 76—Relief of Rates on Agricultural Land.

I move:

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £250,000 chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh Márta, 1934, chun tuilleadh Faoisimh do dhéanamh maidir le Rátaí ar Thalamh Thalmhaíochta.

That a sum not exceeding £250,000 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1934, for the further Relief of Rates on Agricultural Land.

As a Vote similar to this was passed last year I wonder if the Minister is in a position to say how much of it was unexpended, by reason of the fact that credit notes were not allowed where the rates were not paid on the 31st of March last.

I cannot give the figures, but I think it was very little. There were some cases where credit notes were not given in time, in some counties, but the items were very small.

Vote put and agreed to.
