asked the Minister for Finance if he will state with regard to the Fourth National Loan (a) how much of the £6,000,000 offered was taken up by public subscription; (b) how much had been covered by underwriting arrangement prior to public issue being announced; (c) how much of the £6,000,000 not applied for by the public was in fact taken by virtue of any such underwriting arrangement; (d) what was the total amount applied for by individual investors and by business firms (excluding Banking, Finance and Insurance Companies); and (e) the average allotment.
