Vol. 50 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Personation at General Election.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state if Mary Duff, arrested in Dublin during the last general election for personation, and subsequently sentenced to imprisonment and fined for this offence, has served the sentence and paid the fine.

The penalties imposed in this case were imprisonment for two months and a fine of 10/-. I remitted the imprisonment on condition that the offender paid a fine of £5, in lieu of 10/-, and entered into recognisances to be of good behaviour for a period of five years. These conditions were accepted and carried out.
