With regard to the point which the Minister mentions in relation to December, under (a) of his reply, may I take it that that December figure roughly corresponds to half of the December figure which is there stated to be for two weeks?
Oh, no.
I think so. In the statistical volume which has been published December is generally given as including not one but two weeks. I am taking it the Minister is taking an average week, and that it is to be compared with half the double week payment.
That is the number, on the 18th December, paid whole-time unemployment benefit.
If the Minister will look up the abstract recently issued he will find that in December, for particular administrative reasons, there is given not a week but two weeks. It is only a weekly payment; it is only as for a particular week.
