Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Accidents in Free State.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will furnish a return showing the number of accidents that have occurred on the roadways in the Irish Free State during the years ended 1931, 1932 and 1933, stating separately the numbers of persons who were killed and those injured in those years.

In 1931 the number of accidents was 2,683, the number of persons injured being 184 fatally and 2,870 non-fatally. For 1932 the figures are 2,764 accidents. 202 fatal injuries and 2,934 non-fatal injuries, and for 1933, 2,648 accidents, 185 fatal injuries and 2,747 non-fatal injuries.
