Vol. 53 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dog-fish and Skate Exports.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has considered the advisability of recommending a bounty on exported dog-fish, skate, and similar classes of fish which are rarely, if ever, eaten in the Free State but command a ready market in Great Britain.

Dr. Ryan

The answer is in the negative. There is, I understand, a demand in this country for some of the varieties named, and the fishermen concerned could arrange to market their catches through the Sea Fisheries Association, 45 Kildare Street, Dublin.
