Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition in County Dublin.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (1) what steps have been taken, if any, to acquire land for sub-division among small-holders and landless men in County Dublin; (2) whether any lands in County Dublin have yet been inspected or visited by officials of the Land Commission and, if so, where they are situated; and (3) whether he will give special consideration to the industrious smallholders of Rush in respect of the early distribution of land in close proximity to Rush.

The Land Commission has inspected or has in course of inspection a considerable area of lands in County Dublin in connection with proceedings under the Land Purchase Acts, and as the lands are being allotted or become available for distribution, due consideration will be given to the wants and circumstances of all classes of suitable applicants therefor.

I do not think that the Parliamentary Secretary has answered the question I put down on the Order Paper. Will he give a list of the lands that have been inspected or visited?

Will the Deputy put down a separate question dealing with that for another day?

I have a question down to-day and the Parliamentary Secretary has not given me information on that point.

The Deputy did not ask for a list of the lands.

I think the Parliamentary Secretary will find that I did.

The Deputy might put down a specific question asking for the list that he has referred to.

Was there not a reply given in answer to a question on that matter that was put down by Deputy Brady about 12 months ago?
