Vol. 54 No. 14

Electoral (Revision of Constituencies) Bill, 1934—From the Seanad.

The following Message was received from the Seanad:—
Seanad Eireann does not insist on the amendments made by it to the Electoral (Revision of Constituencies) Bill, 1934, with which Dáil Eireann has disagreed: it has made the following additional amendment to the Bill, to which the agreement of Dáil Eireann is desired:—
First Schedule, Part II. Before the word "Kinsale" in the second line from the bottom on page 9, the word "Clonakilty" inserted.

The Seanad yesterday did not insist on the amendments with which the Dáil disagreed but they amended the Bill in the First Schedule, Part II, by inserting before the word "Kinsale" the word "Clonakilty." I move that the Dáil agree to this amendment.

Question put and agreed to.

Is not the Seanad a very useful institution, a Chinn Comhairle?

The Deputy surely does not expect the Chair to express an opinion on that matter.
