The Wexford Harbour Development Scheme is the subject of a private Bill which was promoted by the Wexford Harbour Commissioners, and referred to the Private Bill Committee in March last.
Departmental reports on the Bill to the Joint Committee have been withheld pending the outcome of an application for Government assistance towards the cost of the scheme.
Consideration of this application is dependent, inter alia, on a technical examination of the scheme. Certain data necessary for this examination required a considerable time to collect, and have only recently been furnished by the promoters.
