Written Answers. - Cost of Labourers' Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state for each county the average building cost, and the average all-in cost, of labourers' cottages completed by the 31st March, 1935, under the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1932/34, and if he will state the amount of the average capital cost of each cottage which has been made a State responsibility; the amount of the average capital cost of each cottage which will be borne by the ratepayers of the county, and the weekly rent payable by the tenant, and whether the tenant is also liable for the payment of the rates.

(5) The average weekly rent payable by the tenants is 4/- in Dublin County and 2/- for the remainder of An Saorstát.

The tenants are also liable for the payment of the rates.
