Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary Rights, Coote Estate, Mountrath.

asked the Minister for Lands if he has received repeated applications from tenants with turbary rights on the Coote estate, Mountrath (County Leix), pressing for the acquisition and division of the bogs on the estate, and if he will indicate what action, if any, has been taken in the matter.

The Land Commission have under consideration the question of the acquisition of the untenanted lands, including the bogs, on this estate and the matter is being expedited as much as possible.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary say whether any report has been received from any local inspector on this matter so far?

No; no report has been received as yet.

How can the Parliamentary Secretary say that the matter is under consideration if there has been no report received?
