Vol. 59 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilcullen Waterworks Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether, when making a statement in the Dáil on the 6th November that the County Kildare Board of Health did not propose to proceed with the proposal for a waterworks scheme for Kilcullen, he was aware of the decision of the board to proceed with the scheme as communicated to his Department in the minutes of the board's meeting of the 21st October and if he will state what is the present position in the matter.

The reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. All the funds available in the present year have already been allocated to approved works and the application of the board of health for a grant for the Kilcullen scheme cannot be considered at present.

Do I take it from the Minister's reply that the minutes of the board meeting of 21st October were not in his Department when he was replying to a somewhat similar question on this subject on the 6th of this month?

So I am informed.

Will the Minister make further inquiries to confirm that? My information is quite the contrary.

I shall inquire.
