asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the agricultural land within the Borough of Limerick is the only land in the Free State that does not receive benefits directly or indirectly from the Agricultural Grants; and, if so, if he will take action to provide this much required relief.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Land in Limerick Borough.
I am not aware that agricultural land within the Borough of Limerick is the only land that does not receive benefits directly or indirectly from the Agricultural Grant. All land that was within an urban sanitary district at the time of the passing of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 is in the same position so far as relief from the Agricultural Grant is concerned as the land within the Borough of Limerick.
