Arising out of what the Minister has just said, is it arranged that the Dáil shall sit on Tuesday instead of Friday for the future?
Tuesday is a normal sitting day, according to the Standing Orders.
By courtesy, some years ago it was arranged that we should sit later on Wednesday and Thursday and then on Friday morning. I suggest to the Minister that that arrangement suited country Deputies far better, and I merely wanted to know from him whether it was proposed to depart from it in future.
No, but we have found it advisable to sit during the session in which the Budget is introduced on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
