The owner's objection to the acquisition of the bogs on the estate of the Umeras Peat Company has been disallowed, and proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of the bogs by the Land Commission for purposes of division.
Will the Minister say if it is intended to utilise the bogs for the production of peat briquettes or for distribution to individual allottees?

That is another question. My information is that so far as the Land Commission are concerned the owner's objection has been disallowed and the Land Commission are acquiring the bogs for purposes of division. I could not answer the Deputy's supplementary question without due notice.
