Vol. 66 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Court at Morgan Place, Dublin.

asked the Minister for Justice whether his attention has been drawn to the statement of the district justice, that the holding of the court at Morgan Place is illegal, and if, in view of the grave inconvenience that has been caused to litigants and the public generally by this decision, he will state the steps he proposes taking in the matter.

I am aware of the statement referred to in the question and of the inconvenience which has been caused. The determination of the most suitable method of removing doubts and securing a return to the former practice is a question of some difficulty, but I hope to be in a position to take appropriate steps within a fortnight or so.

Would the steps which the Minister proposes taking be retrospective?

Any such steps would be retrospective.
