Vol. 67 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Athenry Estate.

Mr. Brodrick

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission propose to acquire the Daly estate, Knockbrack, Athenry, comprising 270 acres; and, if so, whether a division scheme will be put into operation this year.

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the lands of Knockbrack, containing approximately 267 acres, in the occupation of Mr. Patrick Daly. Arrangements are being made by the Land Commission to have the lands inspected and valued with a view to considering the question of their acquisition. It is not at present possible to state if or when the lands may be available for division.
