asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the average weekly amount of Savings Certificate sales, less repayments, in each of the months January, February, March, April, May, June, July, 1931, and the average weekly amount of such sales, less repayments, in each of the years 1929, 1930 and 1931.

*Repayments exceeded sales in March, 1931, by £7,863 1s. 3d. owing to the withdrawal from sale of First Issue Certificates on the 20th February, 1931. The sale of Second Issue Certificates began on the 13th April, 1931.
