Vol. 71 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford and Tramore Railway Line.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has received any application from the Great Southern Railways Company for permission to close the Warterford to Tramore railway line; and, if so, if he is aware of the grave hardship which such closing will impose on the business people as well as the ordinary citizens of Waterford and Tramore, and also the danger entailed by increasing the 'bus serices on the already congested Waterford-Tramore road.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to a question by Deputy Wall on the 16th February last on this subject. The answer to the first part of the present question is in the negative. The second part of the question does not, therefore, arise.
