Vol. 73 No. 2

Written Answers. - Balbriggan Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the German firm who owned 550 acres at Hampton, Balbriggan, have recently wound up and their representatives have left the country; that these lands were disposed of at a sum of £1,400, and as the lands are non-residential and set on the conacre system, if he can state when they will be acquired by the Land Commission and divided amongst uneconomic and landless people in the area.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have had under consideration the question of the acquisition of the Hampton demesne and other lands until recently the property of the Delta Company Limited. It is understood that the estate has now been sold privately and the Land Commission propose to have enquiries made as to the purchaser and how he proposes to use the lands.
