Vol. 73 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Street Noises at Night.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he intends to make regulations under the Road Traffic Acts to prohibit the sounding of horns or other warning devices, particularly in the county and county borough of Dublin, between the hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. or later.

There is no power under the Road Traffic Act, 1933, for the making of regulations of the nature referred to.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, will the Minister consider the question of acquiring necessary powers to do this?

I would not think it worth while to introduce a Bill for a thing of that sort.
