Vol. 73 No. 8

Written Answers. - Sale of Mayo Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the holding of Mary Larkin, Lissiniska, was sold at public auction for £185 last June; that the Land Commission refused to sanction such sale, and resumed the holding; and if he will state the area and valuation of the holding, and the price paid to Miss Larkin for same.

Mr. Boland

The holding in question has not yet been resumed. On 4th November, 1938, the Land Commission published a notice of intention to apply to the Appeal Tribunal for leave to resume the holding unless a petition against resumption is duly presented by the tenant. The holding comprises an area of 7a. 0r. 20p. in the townland of Lissatava, on the estate of the C.D.B. (Lord Sligo). The poor law valuation of the holding is £1 7s.
