Vol. 80 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission intend to acquire any lands in the area of Ballymore-Eustace, County Kildare, for division and whether any lands have been acquired in that area for division.

The Land Commission do not keep records of proceedings for particular districts, but so far as can be readily ascertained the position at present in regard to the acquisition of untenanted land in the Ballymore Eustace district is that proceedings have been instituted and are pending in respect of 254 acres; and the question of acquisition is under consideration in respect of some 1,500 acres. The lands at present in hands for division in County Kildare do not appear to comprise any area in the Ballymore-Eustace district.
