Vol. 81 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of the River Boyne.

asked the Minister for Finance it he is aware of the serious damage done each year by the flooding of the River Boyne in County Meath, and if he will consider the removal, as a relief work, of the many sand banks and islands which have formed in this river.

The improvement of the River Boyne as suggested in the question would constitute a major drainage work, and would be unsuitable for execution under the Employment Schemes Vote.
