Vol. 81 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prices Commission.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will furnish the names of the members of the Prices Commission as presently constituted; if he will state whether all applications submitted to his Department for an increase in the price of essential commodities are referred to the commission for decision, and, if not, by whom such decisions are given.

The names of the Prices Commission are: Messrs. C.C. McElligott (Chairman), John P. O'Brien and Thomas Johnson.

Applications for increases in the prices of essential commodities are examined by the Prices Branch of my Department and referred to me for decisions.

Is the principle of one man one job being adopted in this case?
