asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of the last week in February, or the last week for which the information is available, the number of cases in which unemployment assistance was paid in the Dublin registration area, and in which the payment was made to a person with (1) one dependent child, (2) two dependent children, (3) three dependent children, (4) four dependent children, (5) five dependent children, (6) six dependent children, (7) seven dependent children, (8) eight dependent children, (9) nine dependent children, (10) ten dependent children, (11) ten and over dependent children.

Particulars of the number of persons resident in the County Borough of Dublin having dependent children in respect of whom unemployment assistance was paid or due to be paid for the week ending 4th March, 1941, will be circulated with the Official Report. Particulars of the dependent children of applicants for unemployment assistance are available in this form only.

*Four or more children in the case of a man without a dependent wife or a woman without a dependent husband. In the case of these classes and class 5 particulars are not available of the number of dependent children in excess of four and five respectively. As such particulars are not required for the purpose of determining the appropriate rate of unemployment assistance payable applicants do not generally furnish them.
