The Land Commission instituted proceedings for the acquisition of part of the lands of Newtown-Allen, in the occupation of Miss Margaret Byrne. The owner objected to acquisition and her objection was heard by the Land Commission and allowed in respect of 61a. 3r. 20p. and disallowed in respect of 197a. Or. 31p. At the present stage of the proceedings, it is not possible to state when the lands will be acquired and divided.
