Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land-Annuity Arrears in Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Lands (a) the amount of arrears of land annuities due by annuitants in South Tipperary at the end of each of the financial years 1932-33, 1935-36, 1936-37, 1937-38, 1938-39, 1939-40, 1940-41, 1941-42; (b) the amount of arrears due on 1st November, 1942; and (c) the amount now due to the South Tipperary County Council, through the Guarantee Fund, because of the non-payment of land annuities.

The reply is in the form of a statement which will be circulated in the Official Report.

Statement is as follows:—

(b) The amount of arrears of land annuities due on 1st November, 1942, was approximately £73,390.

(c) Information as to the amount now due to the South Tipperary County Council through the Guarantee Fund is not available in the Land Commission, but the sum should be roughly equivalent to the amount of arrears due on 1st November, 1942.
